Fun Fun Times Down South

Monday, December 8th, 2008

Hola.

Got back today from our little stint of gigs in Essex, and our first venture into the big smoke.

A fun time was had by all. The Fat Surfer is pretty much the best place ever and we had such a good time playing it was mega, thanks to everyone who turned up, jigged and bought a cd, we managed to cover petrol from just that show which was lovely!

We’ve just booked another show at the Surfer as part of our easter tour next year on 3rd April and we really can’t wait! Thanks to Lee and the soundguy  as well, top blokes!

The gig at the Grand was good fun, but started off with some mixed feelings which soon dissapeared thanks too the friendliness of Julie Knew Her Killer who were ace, thanks for letting us use your kit and generally being a ‘real’ band. Anyways, good good times. First taste of proper cockney, lovely stuff.

Our last gig, which i think will be our last of 2008 was at the Bridgehouse in Canning Town. Thanks so much to Zeemer, Jonny, Jonathon, Lucy and Chris for coming along, was proper good to see you! It was in a pretty ‘interesting’ place but was a really nice venue, saw some Red Flag 77 stickers up in the dressing room bit as well, fantastical!

I thought i’d write alot more than this but i’m pretty tired. The lovely Richard Crookes took some pic’s of us at the Surfer so here are a few of them, he is super super good, cheers dude!

Will stick some more up a bit later, in the mean time check out Rich on myspace…..

Just like to thank Jordan, and Ken and Janine for their hospitality as well, thanks so much, the food was great!

Moving on.

We’re booking up a easter tour for next year and have some of the dates up on the gigs section, we’ve still got plenty of empty spaces so if you can sort us a gig or want us to play in your town send some love to band at mumlockedincastle dot com that would be great!

We’re recording the drums for two new tracks this week (hopefully) so they will be up to listen too early next year. We really like them and think they’re a little bit more focused, deciding whether to try and do a split with someone or put out a 4  track EP, hmmmm.

So yes, thats that really.

Hasta

Dan
